Whitney Seals ’19

Alumni in the News: Congratulations to Whitney Seals ‘19 for recently earning her white coat. Whitney was accepted into Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy Early Assurance Program when she was a senior in high school. This is a 2/4 program, meaning she completed all of her pre-requisites in two years of undergrad with a pre-pharmacy major. She began graduate school at McWhorter School of Pharmacy in August and is set to graduate with a Pharm.D. in May of 2025.

She is excited to explore all the different career opportunities that pharmacy has to offer but is most interested in clinical pharmacy and ambulatory care pharmacy. The white coat ceremony is a symbol of joining the profession and her commitment to patient care. Here is an article regarding the ceremony and pharmacy class: https://bit.ly/3EdZar4

When we asked Whitney for any words of wisdom for our current students, she said “My advice is that experiencing setbacks and failure does not mean you will not reach your goal. Just because you have never had to ask for help in your classes in the past, does not mean that you are excluded from the opportunity of meeting with your professors or a tutor if needed now or ever in the future. Be passionate about what you are pursuing, and remember your purpose for all that you do in life!”

Way to go, Whitney. Keep making us proud.
