Visual Arts

Visual arts students at Donoho learn to work with a wide variety of tools, art processes, and media. By exploring objects and ideas in the world around them, students learn to coordinate their hands, eyes, and minds to develop good skills of observation. With every art project, they are encouraged to find opportunities for experimentation and creative problem-solving. Students learn to evaluate works of art and gain an understanding of the visual world.

Lower School students receive art instruction every week, while Upper School students may choose studio art as an elective daily class.
