The Donoho School Presents A Drawing Marathon

The Donoho School Presents a

Drawing Marathon

Friday, May 8, 2015
9:00 am – 9:00 pm

Fargason Fine Arts Center Gallery
The Donoho School
2501 Henry Road
Anniston, Alabama

Donoho Upper School students will create drawings on site throughout the day and into the evening. Lined with paper, the gallery space will fill with drawings in a variety of media and from many different sources of inspiration.

Conceived by their teacher Sarah Landrum as a way to expand her students’ experience of drawing, the marathon will encourage process over product, close observation, and experimentation. The use of unorthodox tools and exercises will broaden her students’ drawing vocabulary.

A “community wall” will offer all Donoho students, as well as faculty, staff, and parents a chance to participate in the marathon.

Art students from JSU will join in as mentors and active participants.

Results of the marathon will hang through May 15 and may be viewed by the public by appointment.

Please contact Donoho art teacher Sarah Landrum with any questions or to make an appointment to visit.
