Six Donoho Choir Students Chosen for Alabama Vocal Association Honor Choir

Six Donoho Choir students were selected to sing in the 2016 Alabama Vocal Association Honor Choir. AVA Honor Choir members were selected through a recommendation and screening process last November. In January they met in Montgomery for two days (16 hours) of intense rehearsals under the direction of Dr. Tucker Biddlecombe, Director of Choral Activities at Vanderbilt University. On Friday evening, January 29, the honor choir was featured in concert as part of the Alabama Music Educators Association annual conference.

Special recognition goes to Donoho junior, James Gavino, who was chosen as a featured soloist for the concert.

Congratulations to all six Donoho members of the 2016 AVA Honor Choir: James Gavino, Molly Jones, Emma Arnold, Kent Yamamuro, Isabella Howell, and Max Garrett.
