Sarah Stewart ’89

Alumni in the News! Congratulations go out to Donoho Alumnae Sarah Stewart ‘89 on her induction into the Alabama Tennis Foundation’s Hall of Fame in Birmingham on Saturday, August 21st. Sarah is currently the Tennis Supervisor at Pell City Tennis Center. While at The Donoho School, Sarah played tennis 7th – 12th grade and was selected Most Valuable Player each year. A portion of her 10th to 11th grade year was spent attending Palmer Academy at Saddlebrook. What an amazing experience as a young student-athlete! She also played junior tennis and was ranked #1 in the 18 & Under age division and #2 in the Southern Section in 1989. Upon graduating from Donoho, Sarah continued her tennis career by playing all 4 years at Louisiana State University where she still holds school records. With an impressive 97 wins (1989-1993), she is currently in a three-way tie for ninth place as LSU’s All Time Winningest Players. We sure are proud of all her accomplishments, on and off the court. Pell City’s City Manager Brian Muenger said, “While Sarah is an enormously accomplished player, her true impact has come from the affinity for bringing the love of the sport to others.” https://bit.ly/3yjQ1d4
