International Student Program for Donoho Announced!

THE DONOHO SCHOOL is pleased to announce the development of an International Student Program. A partnership with The Cambridge Institute of International Education and Green Planet Homestay will make it possible for students in China and Korea desiring a college-preparatory education to experience our program while enriching the learning experience for each of our students.

This partnership will make it possible for us to increase cultural diversity and maintain academic excellence, a goal of our long-range strategic plan. Being a day school only, we have been at a disadvantage in marketing to international students until now. Cambridge and Green Planet Homestay have combined their resources to facilitate the admissions process and arrange host families during the student’s period of study. Admission decisions will remain with the school and will continue to focus on the school’s mission.

We are excited that this opportunity to reach out to a global community comes on the eve of our fiftieth anniversary. The vision and strategic planning of our board and administration continues to move the school forward to meet the challenges of a twenty-first century learning model and fulfill strategic plan goals.

Information is available on the website if you are interested in hosting a student. Applicants are carefully screened to ensure that the student and host family are matched for the best possible experience. A $700 per month stipend is offered to approved host families.
