Math Teacher Lynde Nanson Selected to Participate in Mathematics Institute in Utah (PCMI)

Upper School Mathematics Teacher, Ms. Lynde Nanson, has been chosen to participate in The Teacher Leadership Program of the Park City Mathematics Institute in Utah this summer.

The Teacher Leadership Program of the Park City Mathematics Institute provides a unique opportunity for teachers to grow professionally and to join a national network of teachers dedicated to improving teaching and learning mathematics. PCMI is a collaborative and diverse environment where teachers of varying levels of expertise can exchange, reflect and improve their practice using evidence-based strategies that support student learning. Through an intense mathematical experience, focused reflection on the practice of teaching, and leadership development, teachers gain a new perspective about the work of teaching and develop their potential for contributing in meaningful ways to the field.

The Teacher Leadership Program (TLP) Summer Session is a 3-week residential program in Park City, Utah and is part of the larger PCMI program. The TLP is for school teachers who specialize in mathematics for grades 2-12.

Congratulations, Ms. Nanson! We are so proud to have you on our team here at The Donoho School!
