ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT on Brandon Dunn ‘07(Below is Brandon’s full spotlight Q&A from the 2021 SOAR magazine)Brandon earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Coaching at Jacksonville State University. He currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama.Q: Tell us what you do now.A: I’m a multi-business owner as well as the Innovation Director at Storybook Farm, a non-profit organization. I have a passion to return to the film industry as a producer. My plans are to take my corporation, The Booking Group, to higher heights in the production and consulting industry. We will have more bookings and facilitation of national and international performing artists. I support the youth in my community through mentorship and volunteering. Q: Has your life journey been influenced by your time at Donoho, if so, how?A: Yes, in so many ways. One in particular would have to be the attention to detail. The Donoho School prepared me to ONLY strive for excellence. Anything less is not the Donoho way or the “right way”. The nickname given to me at The Donoho School during my high school football career became my official Dj name- “WellDunn” and now it’s a well known brand name throughout the Southeast (WellDunn Entertainment). I’m blessed to be able to say that and credit my approach to professionalism to my parents and The Donoho School.Q: Any words of wisdom you’d like to share with current Donoho students?A: Be mindful that the things you learn now will prepare you for College and beyond. Do not take for granted that you have wonderful teachers and school support that challenge you because the real world has many challenges. Take notes!Q: What is your favorite Donoho tradition?A: By far it has to be the creation of “CHIRP CHIRP”. I’m not sure if the student body still says it but the inaugural year of Chirp Chirp (2011) with the sporting teams, as a coach, to this day gives me chills.
