He continued his studies and earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from NYU Law School. Vaughn has practiced regulatory law at one of Washington, D.C.’s most prestigious law firms, and he also served as an intern for the White House Domestic Policy Council. He lives in Derwood, Maryland, with his wife Alex, and their son, Finn. As an activist, Vaughn has fought for affordable housing and reliable access to transportation in his community. In June 2018, he was elected to be his party’s nominee for the Maryland House of Delegates, the lower house of the Maryland state legislature, and recently won the general election this past November. The Donoho School named Vaughn as its Outstanding Young Alumnus in 2014. Vaughn shares, “Donoho instilled in me a moral compass and, more importantly, an urgency to put those values into action. I’m grateful that Donoho prepares its graduates to unsettle, rather than sustain, the status quo.”
