Students Participate in The University of Alabama Honor Choir

Thirteen Donoho Choir students participated in The University of Alabama Honor Choir on October 22-23, 2017. These students joined other high school honor choir students from Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee to form the university’s 30th Annual Honor Reading Choir. The choir rehearsed and performed under the direction of Dr. Troy Robertson. Dr. Robertson is Director of Choirs at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. On Monday evening, Oct. 23rd, the choir presented a truly impressive concert performance of choral pieces that the students had seen for the very first time at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

The Donoho students were thankful to have several friends and family members, including some Donoho alumni, to attend the concert and show their support.

Participating students: Emma Arnold, Sarah Gibson, Haley Holmes, Sonia Kashyap, Madelyn Thompson, Mahaley Tucker, Anna Ulrey, Bryant Barrentine, Trevor Crow, Sailor Miao, John Noone, James Perry, and Kent Yamamuro.

Special thanks to Donoho Alumni, Isabella Howell ’17, Molly Jones ’16, and Nisha Kashyup ’11 for your support!
