Q: Why do you like teaching at The Donoho School?
A: The environment at The Donoho School is amazing; it’s so much more than just school. I love learning, and I consider myself a lifelong learner. I enjoy getting to share that love with my students each day.

Q: What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
A: Before becoming a teacher, I worked in accounting for twenty years. Through my experience in the business world, I hope to help my students see how they can apply their skills learned in the classroom in their professional lives. I want my students to know that I believe they can do anything, and they will always be one of my students.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your new role at Donoho?
A: In addition to teaching a subject that I love, I get the opportunity to interact with students through extracurricular activities such as The Lure, The Pitch, and The Penfeather.

Q: If someone were to observe your classroom on any given day, what would they see?
A: I hope they see that I don’t simply want to teach a lesson. I want my students to understand what we’re learning and why it matters. Sometimes my students and I learn together, and those lessons don’t always come from a textbook.
