Envelopes and Experiences Auction

A Letter from our DPA Auction Chair: Maryann Gendron

Dear Donoho Parent,

It’s time for our annual Spring Fundraiser! Due to COVID-19, it will be a bit different this year. Instead of an in-person event, we have a special online-only event. This is an exciting way for all families and friends to be involved with our virtual 2021 Envelopes & Experiences Auction!

What is the Envelopes and Experiences Auction? Let’s talk about the Envelopes portion first. We have a website and app with envelopes numbered 1 through 300. The number on each envelope represents its purchase price. (For example, envelope 147 is $147.) You may purchase as many envelopes as you like. Once a number is taken, it will not be able to be purchased again. The fundraiser continues until all 300 envelopes are sold or until the event ends Saturday, April 3 at 5:00 pm. If we sell all the envelopes, we will raise over $40,000 for our school! Hidden behind 10 envelopes are surprise gift baskets. Once you have made your purchase and have checked out, you will get a message for redemption if one of your envelope numbers has a gift basket. If so, your basket may be picked up at the Upper School starting Monday, 4/5 during regular school hours. Also, if we sell all 300 envelopes, Mr. Noone has agreed to a drawing. Each person who purchases an envelope will be entered to win one of three $3,000 tuition breaks for the student of your choice at The Donoho School for the 2021-2022 school year. The drawing will be on Facebook Live on Monday, 4/5.

Now let’s talk about the Experiences portion of the event. At the same website/app, there is an online auction for the regular school-sponsored items that you have come to know and love. Bidding opens for these on Wednesday, 3/31 at noon and goes until Saturday, 4/3 at 5:00 pm. Be sure to enable notifications when you register so that you can keep up with your bidding progress.

We ask that you go ahead and register at events.handbid.com/auctions/2021-envelope-auction or download the Handbid app so that you will be registered and ready when the auction goes live. The directions on downloading the app are on the site as well. Please share this with grandparents, other family, local businesses, alums, and anyone else you think would like to help The Donoho School.

If you have any questions, you may contact Alyson Mims (alyson.mims@donohoschool.com), Gina Johnson (gjohnson1317@yahoo.com), or myself (maryann.gendron@fandmbank.com).

We look forward to a productive spring at The Donoho School! We appreciate your support.
