Today marks the opening night of the Calhoun County Tournament for Soccer and our Falcons are coming in on the crest of dual victories against Glencoe. The Lady Falcons are 2x returning champs to tonight’s tournament, have shown great maturity as a team and have had a successful season. Their two unanswered goals against Glencoe secured the #2 seed in tonight’s tournament. Coaches believe that with such an impressive start to the season, the Lady Falcons will begin tournament play with great confidence of a possible 3-peat of County Champs and of a post-season appearance.
Our boys team fought hard to bring their record back to a level 3-3-0 at this week’s match against Glencoe. The young team has shown great strides in their team play and have been dubbed by their coach as the “No Quit Falcons.” This determination and spirit have brought this team back to enter the tournament as the #4 seed.
The tournament play begins tonight with our boys on the field against Jacksonville at 4:30 pm, at Choccolocco Park. Our Lady Falcons will take the field at 6:00 pm, against Saks.
We are so proud of the effort given by all of our players and hope they both bring home victories tonight.
