Have you ever wondered what a summer break looks like on Donoho’s campus? From summer camps to campus improvements, summer break is filled with activity. Campus improvements began immediately with the start of summer. Camp Donoho programs followed right behind, and there’s no sign of slowing down! Our passion drives our campus daily, and there are many exciting things going on!
Camp Donoho:
Our revamped summer camp program allowed Donoho students and students in our community to engage their summers through exciting programs. Camp Donoho kicked off with Karate Camp, Baseball Camp, and ACT Prep. Summer Sous Chefs was a delicious treat, and Auburn football players made a special appearance at Football Camp. Just last week, some of our youngest Falcons enjoyed Creepy Critters and Dynamite Dinosaurs, and Camp Donoho will end with a “hit” and “swoosh” with Baseball and Basketball Camps.
Some of our Donoho students “delighted in wisdom” this summer by taking Health and Speech, while others will “engage their passion” through taking Beginning Band and Intermediate/ Advanced Pep Band. Feel free to follow #campdonoho for an inside look at these engaging camps!
Passion in Action:
Summer updates began immediately to allow time for completion before the fall semester kicks off. The progress is fantastic, and while the heat may be strong, the dedication of our grounds and maintenance team is even stronger! Last year, the Lower School received an extensive interior renovation in the main building, and this year, the gym is receiving some much-needed TLC. Our Upper School is fresh after interior updates throughout. This summer’s campus projects include:
1. Upper School gymnasium- refinished floor
2. Upper School library- new carpet
3. Upper School office- new carpet and paint
4. Upper School Guidance Office and Lounge- new construction, flooring, and paint
5. Upper School Cafetorium- new carpet, paint, and restrooms
6. Lower School Gymnasium- total renovation
7. Grounds- seasonal maintenance and landscaping upgrades
