Head of School Pursues New Certification at Harvard University

Dr. James Hutchins has been accepted into Harvard University and is pursuing a Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership. The Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership (CEAL) provides education leaders with skills to ensure that all children have the opportunity and support necessary to fulfill their potential as students and citizens. Dr. Hutchins is excited to make this vision a reality with the support this certificate will offer him.

“I’m excited about being accepted into this program at Harvard. I look forward to reflecting on my own leadership style and learning from the experiences and expertise of others. School leadership is not static. To better serve my school, I have to adapt and always be thinking about what’s around the corner.” -Dr. Hutchins

The world we live in is ever-changing and the same goes for education. We encourage our students to be proactive, striving for growth and embracing the positive change that comes from that. Such expectations are driven by our leadership, leadership that in turn exemplifies this expectation.

The Donoho School is proud to have a leader who “LEAD”s by example and embodies our mission statement: “The Donoho School empowers me to live with honor, engage my passion, act with humility, and delight in wisdom”. (LEAD)

Congratulations, Dr. Hutchins. We are excited to grow alongside you in this new journey!
