Third Grader Becomes Youngest Member of Orchestra

Congratulations to the youngest member of Etowah Youth Orchestra (EYO). Karma, a third grader at The Donoho School, has received confirmation of her extraordinary musical talent with the violin by being accepted into The Etowah String Sinfonia. Traditionally, the suggested grade level for this ensemble is seventh through ninth.

The Sinfonia is an intermediate-level string orchestra that functions both as an active performing ensemble and as an educational ensemble that serves to prepare musicians for performance in the Etowah Youth Philharmonic and the Etowah Youth Symphony Orchestras. The ESS performs regularly throughout the season, and musical selections include classical transcriptions, new works for string orchestra, and transcriptions of popular music.

Karma’s first performance with EYO will be “Rock and Roll Christmas” on December 15. If you would like more information on this event, please click HERE.

Way to go, Karma!
