Is it possible to learn a band instrument in one month and be successful? Band Director, David Swinney would give an emphatic, “yes”! We have had quite a few enroll and complete our one-month Camp Donoho Beginning Band course, but one student has risen above the fray. Freshman, Isabella Nelson recently proved that you can not only learn an instrument in one month but be a competitive force at all levels of performance. Isabella recently earned 1st chair All-County, 1st chair All-District, and will compete for 1st place All-State in April. Isabella embodies what it means to “Engage Your Passion”.
