Mrs. Pam Chandler
|
B.A., American History/American Literature - Wheaton College, Norton, MA
M.Ed., Secondary Social Studies - University of West Georgia
Ed.S., Secondary Social Studies– University of West Georgia
Two years ago I moved to Alabama with my husband, Jeff, who is the HPER Department Head at Jacksonville State University and editor of the National Strength and Conditioning Journal. We have two adult children, Britt and Kate, and a new daughter-in-law, Kelly.
I enjoy all types of crafts, reading American history, Braves baseball, and “all things” Auburn.
I taught for 25 years in public schools at both the high school and middle school level in Georgia and Kentucky. For the past two years I have been an adjunct professor at Jacksonville State University in the Education and Professional Studies Department. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career - teaching history at The Donoho School.

Mrs. Jean Clay |
I am a native of Decatur, AL and graduated from Austin High School. I received my B.S. degree from Jacksonville State University in 1978. While at Jacksonville State University I met my husband, Warren Clay. My husband’s job with Bellsouth required us to move to Birmingham where my two sons were born. I stayed at home with my children until both were in school, and then began working at their school in Shelby County.
After 11 years in the Birmingham area, my husband left Bellsouth to join his father and brother in a family- owned business in Anniston. We moved to Oxford and I returned to Jacksonville State University where I obtained my M.Ed. in 1997. I began teaching in the Oxford City School System where my sons graduated in 2002 and 2004. My oldest son, Will, is on track to graduate from The University of Alabama School of Law in May 2009. Also, in May 2009 my youngest son is scheduled to graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in electrical engineering.
My husband and I moved to Jacksonville in 2004 where we currently reside. We are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alexandria, where we serve as sound technicians.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and English from Jacksonville State University, where she was active in the Acappella Choir, Chamber Singers, and ENCORE!, the university showchoir. Ms. Harris feels that participating in these choirs awarded her many opportunities and enriched her life. Ms. Harris is also employed as Children's Minister at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
She plans to continue the wonderful musical traditions established by her dad, Gary Harris, and looks forward to fostering a love of music in her students.

Ms. Shelley House |
Shelley House is a native of Munford, Alabama. She has earned a bachelors degree in early childhood education and masters degree in elementary and early childhood education. She has nine years of teaching experience and enjoys working with children.
She has been a resident of Anniston for the past ten years and is the proud parent of Katelyn (fourth grade) and Kennedy (kindergarten) in the lower school. In addition to being active in many community organizations, they are also members of the Word Alive International Outreach Church and take pleasure in their fellowship with many wonderful friends there.
Ms. House describes herself as being grateful for each and every day and is always ready for a good laugh. She has a genuine love of reading and hopes to share it with youngsters for years to come.

Mrs. Johnson received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University. She and her husband, Sean Johnson, and their two daughters, McKenzie (7th grade) and Maddox (5th grade), moved to Anniston in December of 2006, and the girls began attending Donoho.
Rhonda and Sean are both natives of Anniston. After college, Rhonda taught in Hendersonville, TN, for four years until the birth of their first child and chose to stay home with their daughters until last year.

I am delighted to be back at Donoho and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
