The
Middle School Student Government Association provides
leadership opportunities in a cooperative learning
environment for students in grades seven and eight.
The students work together on committees to plan
student activities and to lead community service
projects. The Middle School Student Government
Association is composed of nine members: a secretary,
vice-president, and president of each class and
a secretary, vice-president, and president from
the middle school at large. Of the three at-large
officers chosen, the president must be an eighth
grader and have served previously on the SGA.
Class officers are chosen by class elections,
and an overall middle school election is conducted
for the three at-large members.
The 2003-2004 Middle School Government Association
is composed of the following students: Will Jackson,
Frances Barber, Daniel Rolax, Miller Stephens,
Maddie Cook, Katie Sanders, Carpenter Doggett,
Megan McCrary, and Caitlin Fockle.
