International Students

The Donoho School welcomes international student inquiries from all over the world and is recognized by the Student Exchange and Visitor program (SEVP) as a SEVIS approved school.  We have the authorization to issue the I-20 forms to our international students so that they may obtain an F-1 student visa.

Note: Applicants from the People’s Republic of China and Republic of Korea should contact the Cambridge Institute for more information as well as assistance in processing your application. You may contact Cambridge Institute by email: donohoschool@thecambridgeinstitute.org.

Due to limited space, available applications should be submitted by October 1 for the next spring semester and March 15th for the next fall semester.  Please contact Mrs.Katie Newton at 256-237-5477, or knewton@donohoschool.com if you have questions about the admissions process.

Step 1:  A completed application must be submitted to Mrs. Newton and is available for download HERE.

The application must be accompanied by the following:
  • Student transcripts
  • Confidential Financial Statement
  • Score from either the TOEFL or SLEP English proficiency exam
  • Recommendation Letters
Step 2: Schedule a Skype interview with Mrs. Katie Newton, Director of Advancement

Step 3: The Admissions Committee will make a decision regarding the applicant's acceptance.

Step 4: The student will be notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee. If offered acceptance, the student will receive an Enrollment Contract. The student must complete and return this contract along with the registration fee within the designated time frame.

Once the contract and registration fee have been received by the school, the school will begin the I-20 process to assist the international student in obtaining his/her F-1 student visa.
