The
Parents' Association of The Donoho School (DPA) is an organization
enthusiastically endorsed by the school. The Association's stated
purpose is to support the faculty and administration through voluntary
involvement in student co-curricular and extracurricular activities,
sponsoring of family social events, maintaining a high degree of
school involvement and spirit, and promoting an effective communications
program between the school and parents.
The
Steering Committee of the Association and members of the administrative
staff and faculty meet monthly in the Upper School Conference Room,
usually on the second Wednesday of the month (see schedule below). The
Steering Committee is composed of DPA officers and committee chairs.
While
there are many activities sponsored by the Parents' Association
that serve the entire school population, each school division also
has activities unique to its age and grade levels - Lower (grades
PK-6), Middle (grades 7-8), and Upper (grades 9-12). Each division
has an association vice-president in charge of coordinating the
efforts of parents instrumental in the support of their division
activities.
