New Faculty and Staff Join the Donoho Family

We are excited to welcome Jenniffer Whyte, Lynde Nanson, Joey Rice, Maxine Donnelly, Megan Meade, and Vaughn Stewart to the Donoho family.

Jennifer Whyte
Foreign Languages Department
Middle and Upper School
Mrs. Whyte is a native of the Dominican Republic who graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Spanish Secondary Education. She and her husband, Reinaldo, have five children and reside in Anniston. Mrs. Whyte is so excited to be a part of the Donoho family and looks forward to teaching Spanish at Donoho!

Lynde Nanson
Mathematics Department
Middle and Upper School
Ms. Nanson brings six years of experience teaching high school math and a Masters of Science in mathematics to The Donoho School. She has a passion for helping students understand complex ideas and encouraging them to see the beauty in math. When she’s not solving math problems, Lynde trains for ultra-marathons, grows vegetables in her garden, and plays with her dog, Roscoe.

Joey Rice
History Department
Football Coach
Middle and Upper School
Coach Rice is beginning his 23rd year in education and athletics. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science and later returned to JSU where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Coach Rice is a child-centered educator who believes in building relationships with each and every student/athlete through enthusiasm, laughter, and passion. He and his wife, Kelly, have two sons who share their father’s love of football. Their oldest son, Logan, plays wide-receiver and youngest son, Landon, plays tight-end at Auburn University. Joey and Kelly attend Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston, and when they get a chance, visit Church of the Highlands in Auburn with their two sons.

Maxine Donnelly
English Department
Middle and Upper School
Ms. Donnelly graduated from Berry College with an Honors degree in English Literature in May 2016. She is a certified book nerd and fascinated with the way people operate. Ms. Donnelly tries to discover something new in the world each day and hopes her passion for reading and writing will let her make a difference in the lives of others.

Megan Meade
Science Department and Robotics
Middle and Upper School
Ms. Meade graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2010. She then completed a Master of Science in Biology in 2013. Megan is from Rome, Georgia, where she grew up among the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and the Coosa River. Megan has conducted research studies on various types of fish and mussels of the Coosa River System since 2010 and enjoys spending time on the water.

Vaughn Stewart
Development and Alumni Relations Officer
Mr. Stewart, Anniston’s mayor, Donoho parent, and former member of the Board of Directors, has assumed the position of Development and Alumni Relations Officer. A graduate of The University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law, he has practiced law for 30 years and volunteered countless hours to community organizations. Mr. Stewart is excited about serving Donoho in development and alumni relations, areas he knows well from his days as a board member.
